Utah–Southern Idaho Local Points & Awards
Compete Locally. Earn Points. Get Recognized.
The Utah–Southern Idaho Division is introducing a Local Points & Awards program to recognize fencers who consistently compete and perform well at tournaments throughout our local fencing community.
Throughout the season, fencers can earn Local Points at qualifying tournaments held in Utah and Southern Idaho. At the end of the season, the fencers who accumulate the most points will be recognized with Local Season Awards.
This program is designed to encourage regular competition, reward success, and strengthen the local fencing community.
Our Local Points System is a local awards program for tournaments in Utah and Southern Idaho.
These points are separate from official USA Fencing points.
Important: Local Points Are NOT the Same as USA Fencing Points However are calculated the same way

What Tournaments Count?
Only qualifying local tournaments in Utah and Southern Idaho count toward the Utah–Southern Idaho Local Standings.
The goal is to reward fencers who consistently compete and support the local fencing community.
National, regional, and out-of-division events are not automatically included in the Local Standings.
End-of-Season Awards
At the end of the season, the top fencers in the Local Standings will be recognized with Utah–Southern Idaho Local Season Awards.
Awards will recognize fencers who demonstrate consistent participation and success throughout the local season.

A fencer can earn both types of points. They are tracked separately.
How Local Points Work
Points are based on event strength, wins, and finishing placement.
Stronger events offer more points, rewarding fencers who compete successfully against stronger competition.
